UPDATE:
The feature is now fully implemented! It shows up as an extra option in the community sidebar and saves the result in the database (as was decided by the poll). It is not merged with main yet, but you can look at the pull request , if you are interested.
You personally, not asking what your employer or clients require you to use. And I'll exclude embedded systems and firmware as well, like the software in your car, on the TV and the Intel ME on your computer.
As we have a substantial Linux community here, and several active communities about self-hosting, home-labs, data hoarders... What's it like for you? Do you use services provided to you, or do you also run some yourself?
Context: this community has flairs now! (also, PieFed recently added flair support! - they don't yet federate though, particularly with Lemmy that is lagging behind in features by comparison)
On Pixelfed.social and other instances it seems like boosts are hidden. So you can share posts in Pixelfed and users using softwares like Mastodon or Misskey will see your boost, but from Pixelfed you won’t see them both from Pixelfed users and Fediverse users, and regardless if you activated them in the settings or use a different client. There are no official news about it so I’m trying to understand if this has something to do with Pixelfed as a software, with specific instances or specific accounts#survey #poll@fediverse@lemmy.world
