why can't i use piefed.social accounts with crust.piefed.social?

So why can't i login it's just a difference interface, no?

Crust is the server running the latest development version of Piefed. I think it uses a different database and the user authentication isn't connected, so you'd need to register a new account. (Unless I'm mistaken with the details, but I don't think I am.)
