A simple trick is image search. I use https://tineye.com/ , anything before 2020 is not AI. Not flawless, but a quick check sometimes help.

As i said not flawless. And again, not a witch hunt. If you are the one doing art that good I’m pretty sure you can spare some Sketch screenshot or a simple photo of the drawing on a table. Is not a TAX, more like a shut up ticket to any jealous prompter who would think you can’t do that with your own skills.

I thought i was going crazy seeing all these posts to that community and then seeing their history include AI art. Glad they finally got removed.
I got bamboozled. They had a “breezy colored pencil” look that fit in with a good artist dashing off some quick drawings every couple of days.
I missed the last one posted above. I think that one is too elaborare and might have given me some pause, but who knows.

It’s kind of amazing that people think generated images in incorrect comms are an actual problem while “AI” is destroying the planet, surveilling/imprisoning humanity, enabling genocide, etc.
It’s like NSFW or even more relevant NSFL (also spoiles) - perfectly fine for some recipients but not for all, so best to LABEL IT. Labeling is compassion.
Then again, people who post AI slop against the wishes of the recipient communities tend not to be the most conscientious?

yeah what tipped me off was when one of the FF characters was riding a creature without pants on. knew it was AI so I tagged it as such and banned the dude from my instance.

This seems to be complaining what should or should not be posted in art share community (and i am not commenting on the subject matter here - I agree with your reasoning in disclaimer), but it is not a meme. it is specific to art share community. I an not removing it just yet, possibly because there is some meme that I do not understand, so if there is, please reply.
Why? Is something happen in the fediverse. I find it funny, and i turn it into a meme. It seems to checks out. Is not a simple screenshot, is not a complaint (more likely a ‘lol’), and the subject fit in the community. Ofc if the mods think otherwise I’ll accept that 🤷♂️.
as i said i do not have any issue with subject matter or meme. problem is that we have a rule “We are not YPTB”. so anything which is too community or moderation specific is not allowed (it is just so shit flinging between comms or instances does not happen).
I just pointed it out. my general moderation style is to almost never delete unless blatant rules violation, and hence i asked if i am missing something.
I am still not removing because comments seem shit free, so there is no need to do anything.

I run genai art comms and I agree. Keep this stuff separated. At the very least tag them as [genai]
