Here in Denmark, regarding painkillers the maximum over the counter is 20 tablets pr. pack, and only 2 packs pr. day at pharmacies (although no control if bought in supermarkets etc.) unless you have a prescription for more - or if you’re a pensioner.
Looking up on wikipedia, even 20 500mg tablets for an 80 kg person could be fatal, especially when consumed with alcohol, so I don’t even get this particular over protective law.
i don’t think there are limits on paracetamol, but there are limits on codeine and such, you need ID for that. it’s just that nobody needs this in these amounts
