Looks like something really killed any momentum that place had. I wonder what it was...

nothing against you but damn has that been inactive for a while. What is with the users of lemmy?

I'm not sure, but you could probably revive it or build your own. All it really takes is a few active users to start a new community. I'm looking for a new project and wouldn't mind helping you get this or another community off the ground.

Here are a couple of posts I found when looking for more information on the current state of Lemmy AMAs. They show community sentiment and past attempts to get started.

It's actually *surprisingly* easy to revive one if you give at least the minimum amount of effort required to be the only poster for a bit.

I've revived ones with zero posts for months.

Agreed. I also find that commenting and supporting good posts helps encourage more activity.

The mod is basically MIA...but did post there hoping for some feedback. Out of curiousity are you a mod or know about modding because I am looking for one to help me out at https://lemmy.world/c/amarequests

Have at it https://lemmy.world/c/amarequests thanks ahead of time....no sarcasm.

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !amarequests@lemmy.world

A ton of subreddit replacement communities were created around the time of Reddit's API changes, and there simply weren't enough users to keep them going.
