Pretty much the title. Some of them looks cool. I don’t want to forget them.

Yesterday, there was a bot that made a ton of posts in different communities. The mods of ttrrpg.network banned that user, and about 20 other people were also banned from several communities each on ttrpg.network (including me) with the reason given “Account used to boost spambot account” (for me it was all the communities on that server that I was subscribed to, but I wasn’t actually banned from the instance):

Just noticing how smoothly this is working in content body and comments and there’s a really great uploader I notice when I’m on my phone now! My apologies if this was already mentioned and I swear I’m out of here for the day(ish) shortly.

Hi all. I was excited when I saw a new Dead by Daylight community was created and I’ve been trying to post daily to get it going. Its not my community, but I would love to have a thriving Dead by Daylight community on the Fediverse.

On lemmy you can cross-post (share) posts to other communities. On piefed I couldn’t find anything similar. Am I missing something?

I’m attempted to MAYBE give a try running my own community which one of them would be for Gen-Z. My reason is the r/GenZ subreddit is badly moderated where there’s a lot of bigotry and also bit of Generation-bashing which leads to stupid dramas. It would be in somewhat the format of like both causal conversation and any community/groups that talks about their nostalgia. I don’t want any elitism about literally the year someone is born, just seems like a weird thing to act self-righteous about.

You might want to experiment with changing that 98% to 1600px or some other px value…

Hi y’all! I’m subscribed to the “Garfield” community out of lemmy.world. However, I recently noticed that it hasn’t been federating to piefed. i.e. if I look at the following on a private tab on a web browser, the piefed version is missing the last month’s worth of posts:

We need a system like a RockChip processor based single board computer, paired with a trusted protection module, and all fediverse services prepackaged for minimal user input required to self host any fediverse services. All updates should be safely installed over the air via the TPM chip based encryption just like with Graphene OS. All of the necessary connections should be preconfigured to punch a hole for the port into the internet. The hardware should be completely locked down with an immutable base system and SE Linux fully configured. There shouldn’t be any accommodations for obscure edge cases outside of the base configuration. It should not require any further payment or services.

I recently noticed that Piefed handles cross instance reports better than Lemmy, i.e. if you moderate a remote community and a Piefed user reports someone from yet another instance, the report actually seems to reach you.

I just noticed some new buttons on the site, which apparently are part of the new Piefed update. Thank you, Jerry! (List of changes in the update is here: https://feddit.online/post/1189885. There are some nice improvements in there.)

So if I’ve selected two languages in my settings, if I see language outside those selections can I assume that is because their language settings aren’t set properly or have I stuffed up a setting?

I want to start with I’m very impressed by the new 1.3.0 update, and congratulations to everyone who put in the work to make that happen.

Fediverse projects are maturing and adoption of them is trending up. I’m excited for the further development of the underlying technologies as well as the apps being built to leverage those technologies into even more integrated, user-friendly experiences.

Hello! I’ve been mostly away from Lemmy/Piefed for a bit (important to take a break for mental health) but, was hoping that someone could point me to Piefed plugin examples/docs.

I stopped using piefed a week ago when I got a message some random quack banned my account in some community I had never engaged with but I could not figure out who did it or where it happened. Any lack of modlog accountability for mods and admin with full transparency are an absolute no-go for me.
