Sitting in his family’s living room in New York City, 14-year-old Miles Wu was astonished to find that a simple piece of paper, folded into a Miura-ori origami pattern, could hold 10,000 times its own weight. Hey everyone, with the new Discord changes, I decided it was a great excuse for me to finally try to ditch discord. I mostly used discord for my creative endeavors through the years (collaborating on projects, help with software - looking at you Blender and Godot, and etc) but now I really only have my small community that I was trying to start back up based on my board game project.

I know y’all are probably tired of seeing this build come up on your feeds, but I just wanted to show it off one last time. Currently the build is dismantled and I am prepping it for transport to Brickbash Ann Arbor and Brickworld Indy. I received a lot of gripe and disdain towards me posting this revamped version. Mainly due to the fact it was just posted a month prior, saying that it was complete. A lot of the other comments were about how you can’t tell what it is or its “just a mess of parts.” I just have to remember my monolithic builds require at least a video minimum. In person would be the best way to hopefully understand and appreciate them. However, I guess there were enough upvotes for Beyond The Brick to pick up the post and share it, so that’s something? This will be the last time I post this build until I decide what I will do with it later on. This build is my masterpiece and brings me a lot of joy. I also need to revamp the story behind the build as well.

The other day, a friend said they really liked playing uno stacko at someone else’s place. I just half assedly painted mine, but yellow marker was barely visible for the numbers, so I had to use another color

Wir haben kein richtiges Repair-Cafe, sondern 2x im Jahr ein Repaircafe-Event welches über Zeitung, Homepage und Kanälen beworben wird. Es ist bisher so, dass dort Dinge repariert werden, 3D-Druck möglich ist, Kleider getauscht und geflickt werden. Die Resonanz ist ganz gut.

This is some not great news. I’ve been using NI (as well as izotope & plugin alliance) stuff for a very long time, and have hardware from them too. I imagine there are a lot of small sound design studios selling kontakt instruments who are a bit scared for the future now.

Some friends and I decided we wanted to start getting to know the cosmic horror genre but were really put off by the hateful whining of Lovecraft. Since we’re all people he probably would’ve hated on, we made a book club to explore the works of minority cosmic horror writers. (We’re open to suggestions if anybody has favorites they want to share!)

I realized that I had everything I need to bind my own journal for other projects so I decided to give it a go!

As a Beatles fan from probably 4yo or so, they’ll always have a special place in the music of my heartstrings. And while I don’t listen to them much anymore, maybe I’m amazed that their songs are so locked in to my little head that I don’t need to, anymore. Or so I flatter myself, hah.

I definitely feel that my masterpiece was in need of a proper revamp. albeit not everything was changed, the presence is much better. Sure the original build was more subtle, that’s not me… I wanted something that properly portrays the essence of this build. I want the build to feel alive and that it actually is trying to consume everything. I also need to rework the story that I wrote, to fit the concept.
