For context, I talked about on a gaming community, in regards to Discord’s digital ID mandate, that its current CEO was Israeli (likely a Crypto Jew from what I gathered). I correctly pointed this out, and got banned temporarily from that community for racism (despite being partially Ashkenazi myself).
In the runup to the 2024 US election, there was an article about a dramatic surge in voter registrations just as Biden stepped out and Kamala replaced him. I posted it to !notvoting@slrpnk.net and it got removed. Censorship was a dick move and an abuse of power, but at least the mod DMed me to explain why. Most mods are not decent enough to make their censorship transparent.
The linked comment is unreachable. It’s not my comment, but I see nothing wrong with it. The big annoyance with censorship is the act of censorship itself is implemented in a non-transparent manner.
Post giving a scientific hypothesis about the potential of tech enshitification to alter personality (and calling for research) was suppressed by mods of !cogsci@mander.xyz and !psy@mander.xyz (evaaniu@mander.xyz & Pro@mander.xyz respectively) within minutes of each other using the same rhetoric in the modlog on the basis that the research being called for was not already undertaken. Likely the same user controls both accounts. Also interesting to see that there has been no activity for 2 years in !cogsci@mander.xyz, so nothing is apparently better than some hypothesis to discuss. The post follows:
