My boy is approaching the end of his journey, and I’ve had to make an appointment to walk him over the rainbow bridge. He’s been my most consistent compatriot over 13 years of change, and I simply want to acknowledge that he is, and will always be, the goodest of boys. Writing this is helping with the acceptance, and knowing that I’m making the best decision I can for him.
Lou is at home doing well wearing his post-surgery onesie. Both Lou and Moop also got dental cleaning done and each lost a tooth. Lou is mostly just really tired, Moop is really grumpy and refusing to sleep, for now.
He needs to be neutered because he’s 8, apparently like 95% of unneutered dogs end up with enlarged prostrates from being intact and Lou is one of them, it’s been causing prepuce infections too… so tomorrow he goes under the knife 😭 getting his teeth cleaned too for good measure
Dogs don’t need anything more than a sniff and the zoomies begin. Humans are even simpler. Just a smile can make a whole persons life turn around. Spread positivity today! Smile kindly and see what happens. You just might find a new best friend.
